Emmett

Emmett Girton, 5, was my most recent model for my portraiture class. The assignment was to do a non-facial, representative portrait of someone that still showed something unique or interesting about the subject. You don't see a lot of kids when you live in the bubble of college so I thought it would be fun to do my portrait of my good friend's, Sam Girton, son, Emmett, who I have babysat a few times while in college. After the promise of a new hot wheels toy, Emmett was ready to show me all his toys (and there are A LOT of them!) in his playroom. It was a really fun shoot and I am very thankful to Sam and Emmett for being so kind and allowing me to hang out with them as well as let me be a part of their lives. Love you guys!

So Im starting week 3 of my internship and so far I have had an amazing time. Los and Em and Mac the dog are great company at home and the people at work are all great. Some assignments have been scary (first day, 15 mins in, covered a murder-suicide ), some have been happy (Jazz Fest, kids painting houses), and you know... the usual day to day news. Haha. Ohhhhhhh we're half way there! - June 2011

So it has been half a year of me doing this project and I am pretty impressed that I have managed to actually get something from every day since January 01, 2011. I have been using my phone apps a bit more recently, but I still like that I am able to capture an image everyday from my life no matter how mundane or how exciting it may be on any particular day. I don't really know how many people actually keep up with my day to day photos, but I hope that those who do are enjoying it as much as I am. Here are some of my favorites from June.
